With his brother in a coma, and the demise of his much-loved parents, Tom and his grandmother, Mamie, have only each other. That is until twelve years on, when Tom, now a genius in the field of Artificial Intelligence, creates Neumann and Rachel – the world’s first living robots – who become the focus of a global cat and mouse game. At this juncture in his life, the weird world of theoretical quantum physics and genetic coding are Tom’s easiest challenges – however, his creation and vision for the future of humanity sees him embroiled in a sinister world, filled with vast media interest, the Karma Police and billionaire revenge-seekers. Can Yoshiko, the mysterious journalist persuade him to return to the safety of California to discover the truth about his heritage? Will Tom be able to protect his pioneering creations? And if so, at what price? Or will the dark forces catch up with him and use his scientific know-how to annihilate and replace the human race? Humanity is an exhilarating, scarily believable, and compulsive sci-fi thriller you’ll be hard pressed to put down.
